Did you know that Topboard has their own eNews Flyer? We try to keep the Ashville Clubs News Letter about Ashville Clubs. If you are interested in recieveing the Toboard eNews Flyer click here to sign up.
We are using a new program to send out the Asheville Clubs News Letters. Sorry if you wound up with more than one copy. THe change over is not going as well as I hoped! Please keep an eye on your junk and spam folders as it is very possible they could wind up in the worst of places. If they do, it would be very helpful if you would mark them as Not Spam or Not Junk.

It happened again today (7/22/20) and I was prepared. Thank you Donna Kelman. On July 11th Donna sent me a picture (left) of the bidding on board 18. Problem is, board 18, Eeast should be the Dealer, not West.
The two bidding pictures you see above are both for the same board, same table, same pair, same bat channel, two different bidding sequences so it seems! When the call came in today, the player refused to believe me and became quite upset with my answer. With all the problems we have had so far with BBO, different compass psition dealers on the same board is not one of them.
What has happened here is either a bug or BBO was overloaded and could process images fast enough. Missing from the picture on the left is the first line of Pass / 1D, making it appear that West is the dealer on the left board and East the dealer on the right. Please don't argue with the director when he or she tells you it is a BBO bug and it does not matter. Again, thanks Donna for bringing this to my attention several weeks ago. For this you have been awared a free game, I will be in touch. Normally the history will correct itself 24-48 hours later.
Fall is not too far away and I am cluless as to how our calendar should look starting in September. Long early evening walks while still light outside will soon come to an end. Please give some thougts to days of the week and what times you think would be good to schedule bridge games. Give me a call or send me an email so I can try to put together a schedule with some feedback verses me spinning the roulette timeslot wheel. Jonathan Friedel (828) 900-1300
