Breaking News Duplicate Bridge ACBL Asheville JCCACBL NEW VIRTUAL GUEST POLICY

Duplicate Bridge Virtual Guest Policy Asheville Bridge RoomMany of you are familiar with the Guest Policy that has been in place since May 7th. Guest are not allowed to play with other guest and clubs are limited to 5% of players being guest averaged over a week. Out with the old and in with the new! New Guest Policy starts...3... 2.... 1..... NOW

First off, Guest will no longer be called Guest but rather Visitors. This has to do with future event planning (thinking titles of event perhaps). Clubs are now limited to 15% of players being Visitors over an averaged week. Visitors can play with Visitors but will each count as a Visitor so a visiting pair counts as two players when calculationg the 15% average ceiling. This is great news all around and that means big changes for how we keep track of our 15% average and what you will run into when trying to reserve a seat on BBO.

We are going to clean off our Visitor List and start from scratch. Once you contact us and request we add your Visitor to our "approved" list, that Visitor will stay on the list until either BBO decides it is time to do house cleaning (hopefully not often) or we are approaching our celing on a regular basis (then we have to re-think the process.) So as of now, let us know when you will be playing with a Visitor, and then you won't have to tell us again unless we let you know otherwise.
